General Function
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Sales – Canada and responsible for achieving the required results as they pertain to sales with assigned territory in Canada, customer development, and attaining growth objectives.
Safety

- Ensure that all personnel involved and outside advisors or consultants (as applicable) have received the proper training ,understand, and comply with our company’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy as required.
- Ensure that all future business plans comply with safety standards established for the appropriate jurisdictions.

Core Functions:
- Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach.
- Partner with customers to understand their needs and objectives.
- A focus on acquisition of large retail accounts in assigned territory.
- Sales support of mass and independent accounts in assigned territory.
- Expand footprint of Broil King Towns in assigned territory.
- Demonstrate OMC products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Effectively communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Increase our customer contact with retailers in the territory.
- To nurture key Broil King partners/retailers that install and maintain a dominant “Broil King Town” in store display.
Details of Functions:
Serve as a contact for all Onward Accounts in assigned territory:
- Provide input regarding needs and concerns of national accounts
- Monitor customer forecasts, product demand, edi commitments
- Expediting orders
- Prepare sales and product presentations
Serve as liaison for Onward Accounts in assigned territory:
- Assist with the execution and development of national account programs
- Communicate policy changes, product availability, opportunity buys to key accounts and sales representatives
- Gather competitive information with attention to national account programs
- Assist with providing sales tools, booking programs and other information to sales reps
- Develop a consistent communication schedule for sales reps/key accounts
- Assist with training of order desk staff to understand key account programs
Provide detailed evaluation of key accounts and help set goals/expectations for reps and key accounts in assigned territory:
- Work with each sales representative to evaluate customer needs and rep performance as it relates to key assigned accounts
- Increase our customer contact and implement team selling approach
- Track account performance and use this information to set goals and expectations
- Continuously review OMC product options; are we well represented across a range of price points and feature sets
- Work with reps to develop SWOT analysis for key accounts
- Work to improve dealer advertising of OMC brands and web presence
- Work to improve dealer merchandising of OMC brands (in store-best practices)
Product Knowledge and Training:
- Work to improve sales force product knowledge skills and understanding of programs
- Assist with product knowledge training for key accounts
- Keep abreast of product changes, OMC programs, market conditions, competitive activities,
- Advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature
Other duties as assigned which may include:
- Attending trade shows as required
- Developing sales reports for key accounts
- Periodic travel
- Availability for weekend work
- Log your call activities and be prepared to share with your supervisor
Working Conditions:
In an effort to maximize our team environment, this position requires presence in office, and does not offer remote work.
Work Hours:
- As required
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST
- Additional time as required may include overtime and occasional weekends.
